This post is filled my favorite recommendations for Milan, my 10-day itinerary, and my outfits and packing list. It’s a little too long for emails so read the rest on your browser or in the Substack app!
Milan holds a special place in my heart. After all, it’s the city I want to live in (if not this year then in the next couple of years). Although I’ve only been twice, every time I’ve been the city showed me so much beauty and kindness. In September, I stayed in Milan for 10 days. I really wanted to take that time to check out different neighbourhoods so that I can make a more informed decision when I made my move.
Since I was already in Europe, I actually flew in from Copenhagen. The flight was short and beautiful and since I flew in from the North, I got to see the alps on the way which was breathtaking.

Itinerary
Day 1
The quickest and cheapest way to get from Malpensa airport to the city is by the express train. However, I did purchase a check-in luggage in Copenhagen so we opted for a taxi instead. Since it was fashion week, the taxi prices were outrageous. We paid about €120 for our ride which is insanity. I definitely don’t recommend it unless you absolutely need to.
By the time we got to the city, it was already past dinner time so Janice and I quickly freshend up and headed to Le Striatelle di Nonna Mafalda, a pasta spot close to our Airbnb in Navigli. The restaurant was filled with Italians (always a good sign) and the food was delicious. I ended up getting a vongole and Janice got the amatriciana, one of my favorite Roman dishes.
I spent the first few days of Milan with a group of friends so the rest of the girls came to meet us up for drinks after we ate. We stumbled across this little wine bar on the same street that had just opened. At the time of writing, they still aren’t on Google maps! But from what I can recall, it was only a few shops down from the restaurant. Hopefully you can find it from the photo.
