What is it about Spring that wakes us all up and reignites that energy that faded away when the temperatures dropped? I for one definitely feel like I’m coming out of hibernation as soon as that first March warm day hits. This year one of my intentions is to “move with purpose” taken from the greatest piece of advice I learned while working in marketing: “stop doing random acts of marketing”. I was taught that every piece of content, every article, and every move you make should serve a purpose. Applying that theory into my personal life and business has honestly made all the difference.
This year, rather than doing a random clean and purge and then ideating some new projects to try, I decided to create a comprehensive spring reset guide. The goal is to strategically tackle the main areas of my life: the physical, the digital, and the mental. If you’re also itching for a good ol’ spring clean, I got you. Here’s the plan:
Physical
First we have to decide what areas of your physical space needs the most work. The key here is to not tackle everything at once. Don’t prioritize what you have on your schedule, schedule your priorities instead (as said by Stephen Covey). Figure out what’s most important to you or what areas would make the biggest impact in your mood, the functionality of your home, or daily workflows and start there.
For me, the ordered list looked like:
closet (I needed to deeply purge for my move in September)
bathroom and skincare drawer (I had WAY too much unused skincare that could either be gifted to friends and family or thrown out)
kitchen and fridge (eating healthy has been a new focus this year so organizing my kitchen and fridge to make it more efficient for cooking was a must)
office + tech storage (same ordeal—I have so much unused tech so it was time to purge!)
Another favorite tactic of mine is to do the mins challenge. Really anything that gamifies cleaning is a win for me. The mins challenge is simple: get rid of one thing on day 1, two things on day 2 and so on and so forth. By day 30, you would’ve gotten rid of 495 things. I personally like to start with day 30 and get rid of 30 things at the start so that it just gets easier as the days go on. I actually filmed my experience with my mins game challenge last year and it was one of the best things I’ve tried for purging.
As you’re purging and organizing, ask yourself these questions:
have I used this in the last 6 months? If not, why am I keeping it?
does this item serve a specific purpose or bring me joy?
is this the most efficient place to store this item based on how often I use it?
do I have multiple items that serve the same function? Which one works best?
is this item still in good condition and functioning properly?
When organizing, consider:
frequency of use - keep frequently used items easily accessible
natural workflow - store items where you actually use them
grouping similar items together for better efficiency
creating designated zones for different activities
using clear containers or labels to maintain organization
Digital
My digital spaces swing from periods of ultimate minimalism and absolute chaos. What I struggle with the most is getting rid of unused files and applications from my devices. Being the tech girlie that I am, I did find some tools that have really helped with this:
Swipewipe is a fun way to review all your photos and videos and decide whether they’re a keep (swipe right) or delete (swipe left)
CleanMyMac does all the periodic reviewing for me and scans my computer for junk files, overly large files, and other random things that are living on my device rent free
Other than file purging, I also made a plan to:
reorganize my computer files
move any unused files that I want to keep to a harddrive
archive old projects and label folders clearly
deleting any duplicate files
updating my tech stack (is there any apps I could add to my workflow that will make it more efficient?)
unsubscribe from unnecessary newsletters
cancel unused subscriptions
unfollow social accounts that don’t bring you joy
Mental
Now that we've tackled the physical and digital spaces, it's time to focus on mental clarity and well-being. Spring is the perfect time to reassess our habits, routines, and overall mindset. I’ve been making monthly “Plan with Me” videos where I go over how I set goals and intentions each month so if you’re interested, you can watch April’s video here.
Taking care of my mental space seasonally looks pretty similar. I always start by evaluating how the last season went. What am I the most grateful for? What went well? What could’ve gone better?
When thinking about the new season, what are my ins and outs? What routines and habits do I want to keep and which ones do I want to start this season? Even if you’re adding just one new habit that supports your wellbeing, that’s something to be proud of. We’re looking for progress, not perfection—don’t get caught up on trying to do too much all at once. Focus on what makes you feel good, healthy, and happy. Start with those.
Personally, a habit I’m really looking forward to adding back in my schedule is reading outside. I did that a lot last summer so now that the weather is getting warmer, I can finally start it up again. I love finding a nice park, bringing Mika along, and just setting up blanket to read and bask. Your habits don’t have to be running 10k or eating vegan—it can simply be something that makes life feel more fulfilling. That’s the beauty of moving with purpose. Ultimately our purpose will bring is back to living intentionally and feeling fulfilled. So do what you need to get there.
To clarify, here’s the plan:
do a brain dump of everything your mind. And I mean everything. All your to-dos, worries, joys, and stressors.
organize these things into categories: let go, do something about it, delegate, later
do a calendar & energy audit
look at how you’ve spent your time the last 2 weeks
ask: what’s energizing vs. draining?
make adjustments to honor your energy
do a vision reconnection and reset
revisit your goals or vision board
ask: does this still align?
revise if needed. write 3 intentions for spring.

Spring always feels like a season of renewal, growth, and transformation. Learning to tackle my reset strategically this year has made it feel even more intentional and efficient so I’m hoping it helps you feel the same. Take it one step at a time, focusing on what brings you joy and makes your life more fulfilling. As you embark on your spring reset journey, keep in mind that it’s not about achieving perfection—it’s about making the right changes that support your well-being and helps you achieve your ultimate goals for the year.
I hope this season brings you so much joy and love and productivity 🖤
I love the way you've organized this! I'm going to use this to help me with the projects I want to tackle
