March
March was actually such a lovely month minus the 5 days I was bedridden from food poisoning. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I decided to see it as a reset—some (forced) time off and a body purge. Besides the obvious massive diet change (aka mostly just consuming liquids), I also feel like I caught up on years of sleep which maybe I needed more than I thought.
Being sick always brings a perspective change as well. Restarting work after a few days of rest makes me rethink what projects should take priority and what I should really be focusing on when it comes to my business. So this past week as I’ve been slowly reintegrating into life, I’ve been rethinking my processes and systems a bit to see if it all still aligns with my goals.
For one, I think I’m finally ready to re-hire a video editor. I let go of my editor at the end of last year because I decided to rethink my content strategy. He did amazing work but it no longer aligned with my vision. Moving forward, I want to work with an editor that shares a similar creative eye or vision as me. Also I’d love to hire someone on long-term who will grow with my business.
I also have been slowly mapping out a business plan. I had to create one for the Italian visa I was considering but even though I’m no longer working on that same visa, the structure of that business plan still stands. With a clearer idea of business goals in mind, it’ll help me craft my project roadmap more intentionally.
On another note, I absolutely loved
’s post on “monthly repeats”. I love sharing new discoveries but showing love to things we use the most feels like a more genuine representation of what we should actually be “influencing” people on. So you’ll find some of my March repeats below as well.Reading
She Came To Stay by Simone De Beauvoir - I made it a goal last year to introduce more classics to my reading list. I’m still figuring out what authors and genres within classic lit that I enjoy but Beauvoir is now definitely an author I want to read more from.
Ghost Station by S.A. Barnes - Sci-fi thriller, space-horror. Need I say more? No but this was such a fun change of pace.
Can the Human Body Endure a Voyage to Mars?
Watching
March was a slim reading month mostly because I’ve been spending more evenings watching shows and movies.
White Lotus
Severance
Drive to survive
Anora - LOVED this so much
First Frost - I knew I was going to love this but wow
John Wick Chapter 4
Spoiler! If anyone cares. But this was what I had to search after John Wick. I thought Google’s answer was hilarious. Straight to the point.
Listening
Beware of Pity by Stefan Zweig - I’ve been trying to find a physical copy of this book for quite some time after finding out about it from Malissa on TikTok but after many failed attempts I ended up using one of my leftover Audible credits for the audio version. It’s phenomenal as an audiobook. There’s something nearly theatrical about the narration that created such a fun listening experience.
On repeat
First Frost really made me want to listen to the Chinese pop songs that I grew up on. Of course 像晴天像雨天 (the main song from First Forst) was on repeat all month but I’ve also been revisiting my catch-all cpop playlist.
Making
Banana Bread - I tried the most amazing banana bread recipe in March that uses dates as a sweetener. It was fantastic and so fool proof. I show the process in my last March vlog.
Time - Making time was a big theme last month. Making time for rest, making time for passion projects, and making time for friends. Intentions-wise I’m feeling really proud of my progress in March. It makes me so so excited for April.
A new video series - If you didn’t know, I do actually have two YouTube channels. On my main channel, I started a new series in March that’s inspired by Jenna Hong’s Plan With Me series. Think it’ll be a great way to take you through my process of planning for goals and ambitions month after month.
Loving
Studied by Liis - Fell in love with the Liis perfumes this month. Still working through my discovery kit but Studied was a favorite that’s now on my to-buy list.
Cyklar body oil - I’m Cyklar obsessed. This body oil absorbs instantly and smells like a dream.
Prada beauty lipstick - Although my MAC Stone lip liner still reigns true, I wear it with every lip combo. But Prada Beauty’s soft matte lipstick in B101 Tiepolo is all I’ve been wearing. It’s buttery soft, not drying, and the perfect your-lips-but-better color.
Rock River Melody by Régime Des Fleur - From my spring perfume tray, I’ve by far been reaching for Rock River Melody the most. It’s a handsome, old english country side kind of floral with a modern twist. Peppery and sophisticated—it’s the perfect all-year floral. Also if it’s good enough for Alexa Chung, it’s good enough for me.
Snapping

The IPOD SHUFFLE?!? Icon. I miss my little mint green iPod
Ah, thank you for your latest newsletters, Angel! They were timely as I was recovering also from sickness. I badly need the reset and to be reminded to check what I eat. 😅 Can't wait to finally be well and slowly get back on track.
Reading about First Frost and Chinese pop here brought a smile to my face, as I haven't watched the drama (but I love Bai Jingting!!!) and I remember having a comfort Cpop playlist too, mostly OSTs of my fave Cdramas. Maybe I should revisit and listen to that again as I rest. 😌
